CONGRATULATING the Shenendehowa High School Girls
Varsity Cross Country Team and Head Coach Rob
Cloutier upon the occasion of capturing the New York
State Federation Cross Country Team Championship
WHEREAS, Individual and team championships are highly sought after
in high school sports; this Legislative Body commends rare athletic
achievements and pays special recognition to those who pursue such
excellence and become examples for the youth of this great Empire State;
and
WHEREAS, Athletic competition helps to enhance both the moral and
physical development of young athletes, preparing them for the future by
instilling in them the importance of teamwork, encouraging healthy
living, and developing a sense of fair play and competition; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate the
Shenendehowa High School Girls Varsity Cross Country Team and Head Coach
Rob Cloutier upon the occasion of capturing the New York State
Federation Cross Country Team Championship; to the praise and applause
of their excited fans, this group of dedicated scholar-athletes won
their first-ever Federation Championship at Bowdoin Park in Wappingers
Falls, New York, on Saturday, November 22, 2025; and
WHEREAS, The Federation title garnered this exceptional team an
invite to the 2025 Nike Cross Nationals where the team competed under
the name "Clifton Park" and finished 12th with a team score of 318
points at the Glendoveer Golf Course in Portland, Oregon, on Saturday,
December 6, 2025; and
WHEREAS, Prior to their Federation success, the Shenendehowa High
School Girls Varsity Cross Country Team won the Class A Title at the
NYSPHSAA Girls Cross Country Championships held on Saturday, November
15th, 2025, at Queensbury High School in Queensbury, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Shenendehowa High School Girls Varsity Cross Country
Program now boasts three State Championships, demonstrating their
superlative teamwork, which has been a mainstay for this elite
track-and-field program; and
WHEREAS, Proudly donning the school's colors of green and white,
family, friends, and the community at large loyally and enthusiastically
supported the team throughout their journey as they, once again,
finished with an impressive Suburban Council dual meet record of 10-2
and an overall record of 32-2; and
WHEREAS, In a sport, such as cross country, which demands speed and
agility, Head Coach Rob Cloutier and his skilled coaching staff worked
hard to hone the skills of this championship team, teaching these
outstanding athletes lessons which will prove invaluable both on and off
the course; and
WHEREAS, The team has embodied the term "scholar-athletes,"
achieving enviable success in the classroom with a teamwide grade point
average of 94.05 percent; and
WHEREAS, Head Coach Rob Cloutier and all the outstanding athletes on
the Shenendehowa High School Girls Varsity Cross Country Team have
clearly utilized dedication, determination, and teamwork in providing a
lasting contribution to the spirit of excellence which is a tradition of
their school; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the members of the Shenendehowa High School Girls Varsity
Cross Country Team: Emma Anderson, Katherine Battle, Alexandra Beer,
Leyla Bhusri, Gia Bronzell, Sophie Cottrell, Moira Glynn, Jaelyn Gort,
Meghan Grizzaffi, Alaina Keller, Courtney Krawiecki, Raquelle Landa,
Emma Littlejohn, Olivia Littlejohn, Amelia Lyden, Riley Lynch, Addison
Morelli, Lanna Schmitz, Julia Sinnott, Kaitlin Spinner, and Sidney
Updyke; Assistant Coaches, Bill Tindale, Rachel Venditti, Stefanie
Berggren, Noah Tindale, Kristen Hislop, and Beth Haig; and Head Coach
Rob Cloutier on their outstanding season and overall team record; and be
it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the members of the Shenendehowa High School Girls Varsity
Cross Country Team, Head Coach Rob Cloutier, the aforementioned
Assistant Coaches, Athletic Director Lucas LaBarre, Principal Ron
Agostinoni, and Interim Superintendent Dr. Cecily Wilson-Turner.
