Assembly Resolution No. 968

        CONGRATULATING the World Mission Society Church of
        God upon the occasion of its 61st Anniversary
 
  WHEREAS,  It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
honor those faith-based institutions that have demonstrated a  steadfast
commitment  to  spiritual  growth,  community  service, and humanitarian
efforts; and
 
  WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and  in  full  accord  with  its
long-standing  traditions,  this  Legislative  Body  is  justly proud to
congratulate the World Mission Society Church of God upon  the  occasion
of its 61st Anniversary; and
 
  WHEREAS, The World Mission Society Church of God, founded in 1964 by
Ahn  Sahng Hong, has devoted itself to the teachings of love, unity, and
service, growing into a global faith community with members in over  175
countries,  including numerous congregations throughout the State of New
York in locations like Albany, New  Windsor,  Rochester,  Syracuse,  and
Long Island; and
 
  WHEREAS, Over the past 61 years, the World Mission Society Church of
God  has  made  a profound impact on communities by leading thousands of
charitable initiatives, including disaster relief efforts, environmental
protection campaigns, blood drives, and programs to aid the underserved,
exemplifying the teachings of God the Mother; and
 
  WHEREAS, In New York, the church and its volunteers have been deeply
engaged in improving the quality of life for residents through  numerous
outreach  programs,  including  through  ASEZ (Save the Earth from A-Z),
ASEZ STAR (Students Take Action Right Now), and ASEZ WAO (We  Are  One),
which  serve  as  the international young volunteer group from the World
Mission Society Church of God that partner with  local  governments  and
groups for environmental cleanups; and
 
  WHEREAS, The church's members have dedicated themselves to upholding
principles  of  faith,  kindness,  and  goodwill,  fostering a spirit of
harmony  and  unity  among  individuals  of  diverse  backgrounds  while
promoting moral and ethical values in society; and
 
  WHEREAS, The 61st Anniversary of the World Mission Society Church of
God  is a momentous occasion that serves as an opportunity to reflect on
its enduring legacy of faith and service, and  to  express  appreciation
for  the  church's invaluable contributions to the State of New York and
beyond; now, therefore, be it
 
  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its  deliberations  to
congratulate  the  World Mission Society Church of God upon the occasion
of its 61st Anniversary; and be it further
 
  RESOLVED, That copies of this  Resolution,  suitably  engrossed,  be
transmitted  to  the  leadership  of the World Mission Society Church of
God.
