        Introduced  by  Sen.  CLEARE -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Crime Victims,  Crime  and
          Correction
 
        AN  ACT  to  amend  the  executive law, in relation to requiring certain
          employees of the New York state department of corrections and communi-
          ty supervision to wear body cameras

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Section 259-c of the executive law is amended by adding two
     2  new subdivisions 18 and 19 to read as follows:
     3    18.  require  every  parole  officer and employee of the department to
     4  wear body cameras with video and audio  whenever  they  are  interacting
     5  with a parolee.
     6    19.  implement the use of cameras in every official office and room in
     7  the department.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
