AN ACT to amend the insurance law, in relation to scheduling for certain
providers through the directory
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Subparagraph (A) of paragraph 17 of subsection (a) of
2 section 3217-a of the insurance law, as amended by section 2 of subpart
3 B of part AA of chapter 57 of the laws of 2022, is amended to read as
4 follows:
5 (A) whether the provider is accepting new patients and the provider's
6 nearest availability, which may be accomplished through a mechanism by
7 which enrollees or their designees can schedule such appointments
8 directly through the directory;
9 § 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day after it shall
10 have become a law.
