        Introduced  by  Sen. JACKSON -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Education
 
        AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation  to  updating  the  defi-
          nition of cyberbullying in the dignity for all students act
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. Subdivision 8 of section 11 of the education law, as  added
     2  by chapter 102 of the laws of 2012, is amended to read as follows:
     3    8.  "Cyberbullying"  shall  mean  harassment or bullying as defined in
     4  subdivision seven of this section, including paragraphs  (a),  (b),  (c)
     5  and  (d)  of  such subdivision, where such harassment or bullying occurs
     6  through any form  of  electronic  communication.  "Cyberbullying"  shall
     7  include,  but not be limited to, intentionally using artificial intelli-
     8  gence to mimic or alter a  person's  likeness  or  voice  without  their
     9  consent.
    10    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
