SCARCELLA-SPANTON -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to requiring certain physicians or other authorized practitioners to offer prenatal testing for antiphospholipid syndrome The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. The public health law is amended by adding a new section 2 2533 to read as follows: 3 § 2533. Prenatal testing for antiphospholipid syndrome. 1. Every 4 physician or other authorized practitioner attending pregnant persons in 5 this state shall offer blood testing for antiphospholipid syndrome as 6 part of routine prenatal care. 7 2. The commissioner may promulgate such rules and regulations as are 8 necessary to carry out the requirements of this section. 9 § 2.
