          printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation
 
        AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to certain tick-
          ets on the Long Island Rail Road and the Metro-North Commuter Railroad
          Company

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1.  The  public  authorities  law  is amended by adding a new
     2  section 1266-n to read as follows:
     3    § 1266-n. Long Island Rail  Road  and  Metro-North  Commuter  Railroad
     4  Company; certain discount fares.  Notwithstanding any other provision of
     5  law,  any  one-way, round trip or multi-trip ticket purchased for use on
     6  the Long Island Rail Road or the Metro-North Commuter  Railroad  Company
     7  by  any  senior  citizen or a person with a disability shall be valid at
     8  any time during the day or night.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect on the thirtieth day  after  it  shall
    10  have become a law.
