PALUMBO -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Judiciary AN ACT to amend the judiciary law, in relation to production of appel- late briefs The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. The judiciary law is amended by adding a new section 432-a 2 to read as follows: 3 § 432-a. Appellate briefs. The court of appeals shall provide, upon 4 written request made to the clerk of the chief judge, a copy of any 5 appellate briefs filed with the court. Prior to producing such docu- 6 ments, the court shall redact the name and any personal identifying 7 information of any victim in a cause involving a sexual assault offense. 8 § 2.
