        Introduced  by  Sen.  CLEARE -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Corporations,  Authorities
          and Commissions
 
        AN  ACT  to  amend the public authorities law, in relation to the avail-
          ability of recordings and transcripts of  meetings  of  the  New  York
          state public authorities control board

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Section 51 of the public  authorities  law  is  amended  by
     2  adding a new subdivision 7 to read as follows:
     3    7.  Notwithstanding  any  provision  of law to the contrary, the board
     4  shall post both video recordings and written transcripts of its meetings
     5  on its public website within forty-eight hours of such meeting and shall
     6  maintain such records on its public website for a  period  of  not  less
     7  than  ten  years for video recordings and indefinitely for written tran-
     8  scripts.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect on the thirtieth day  after  it  shall
    10  have become a law.
