        AN ACT to amend the insurance law, in relation  to  permitting  licensed
          insurance  agents, brokers, adjusters, consultants, and intermediaries
          to carryover up to five hours of continuing education credit per bien-
          nial licensing period
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Paragraph 3 of subsection (c) of section 2132 of the insur-
     2  ance  law,  as  added  by chapter 656 of the laws of 1992, is amended to
     3  read as follows:
     4    (3) [Excess credit hours accumulated  during  any  biennial  licensing
     5  period shall not carry forward to the next biennial licensing period for
     6  that  same class of license.] Up to five excess credit hours accumulated
     7  during any biennial licensing period may be carried forward to the  next
     8  biennial licensing period for that same class of license.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
