JACKSON -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Labor -- committee discharged, bill amended, ordered reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee AN ACT to amend the labor law, in relation to split shifts and minimum wage The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 652 of the labor law is amended by adding a new 2 subdivision 7 to read as follows: 3 7. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, every 4 employer shall pay to each of its employees not less than the minimum 5 wage for all time in excess of one hour in which an employee is not at 6 work during a split shift and such time shall be considered an hour 7 worked by said employee. 8 § 2.
