AN ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to dedicating a portion of
the state highway system to CW2 John M. Grassia III
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. The highway law is amended by adding a new section 345-d to
2 read as follows:
3 § 345-d. Portion of the state highway system to be dedicated to CW2
4 John M. Grassia III. The bridge carrying the state route seven connec-
5 tor, also known as Becker Road, over interstate route eighty-eight in
6 the town of Rotterdam, county of Schenectady, shall be dedicated to CW2
7 John M. Grassia III.
8 § 2. The commissioner of transportation shall provide for the instal-
9 lation and maintenance of adequate signing of the state highway system
10 as dedicated pursuant to section one of this act, provided that such
11 signing shall state "Bridge Dedicated to CW2 John M Grassia III". Howev-
12 er, to avoid confusion and to limit any possible disruption of commerce,
13 the dedication called for pursuant to section one of this act shall be
14 one of ceremonial nature and the official name of such bridge shall not
15 be changed as a result of this act.
16 § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
