WALCZYK -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Energy and Telecommuni- cations AN ACT to amend the public service law, in relation to prohibiting the imposition of a system benefits charge on ratepayers' utility bills The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. The public service law is amended by adding a new section 2 18 to read as follows: 3 § 18. Prohibition on system benefits charge. The commission shall be 4 prohibited from imposing on ratepayers' utility bills a surcharge of the 5 kind designated by the commission at the time of the effective date of 6 this section as a system benefits charge. 7 § 2.
