        Introduced  by  Sen.  CLEARE -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Housing, Construction  and
          Community Development
 
        AN  ACT  to  amend  the  administrative code of the city of New York, in
          relation to requiring contact be made with the complainant  to  verify
          restoration of service before concluding an investigation
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. The administrative code of the city of New York is  amended
     2  by adding a new section 27-2033.2 to read as follows:
     3    §  27-2033.2  Resolution of complaints. When investigating a complaint
     4  regarding a violation of the requirements of this article,  the  depart-
     5  ment  shall  not  consider  the matter resolved until the department has
     6  made contact with the complainant to verify the applicable  service  has
     7  been restored.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
