GONZALEZ -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Elections AN ACT to amend the election law, in relation to candidate declination The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Subdivision 6 of section 6-146 of the election law, as 2 added by chapter 276 of the laws of 2021, is amended to read as follows: 3 6. A person designated as a candidate for two or more party nomi- 4 nations for an office to be filled at the time of a general election who 5 is not nominated at a primary election by one or more such parties may 6 decline the nomination of one or more parties not later than [ten] seven 7 days after the primary election is certified. 8 § 2.
