FAHY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Investigations and Govern- ment Operations AN ACT to amend chapter 434 of the laws of 2022 authorizing the commis- sioner of the office of general services to convey certain unappropri- ated state land to KIPP: Albany Community Public Charter Schools, in relation to the time of transfer of certain lands and to the effec- tiveness of such provisions The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Sections 4 and 6 of chapter 434 of the laws of 2022 author- 2 izing the commissioner of the office of general services to convey 3 certain unappropriated state land to KIPP: Albany Community Public Char- 4 ter Schools, are amended to read as follows: 5 § 4. The office of general services shall not transfer or convey the 6 land described in section two of this act unless application is made to 7 the office of general services by KIPP: Albany Community Public Charter 8 Schools, such application shall be made within two years after the 9 effective date of this act. The transfer or conveyance of such land 10 shall be made [within one year] after KIPP: Albany Community Public 11 Charter Schools submits the application to the office of general 12 services and prior to the expiration of this act. 13 § 6. This act shall take effect immediately and shall expire and be 14 deemed repealed [3] 4 years after such date. 15 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately; provided that the amend- 16 ments to section 4 of chapter 434 of the laws of 2022 made by section 17 one of this act shall not affect the repeal of such chapter and shall be 18 deemed repealed therewith.
