        Introduced  by  Sen.  COMRIE -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Cities 1
 
        AN ACT to amend the administrative code of the  city  of  New  York,  in
          relation to requiring the department of parks, recreation and historic
          preservation to cut down trees in a timely manner

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. The section heading of section 18-151 of the administrative
     2  code of the city of New York, as added by local law  number  65  and  as
     3  renumbered  by local law number 133 of the city of New York for the year
     4  2017, is amended and a new subdivision 5 is added to read as follows:
     5    Street tree maintenance [information posted online].
     6    5. The department upon receiving an initial request for  tree  service
     7  received  through  the 311 citizen service center request or the depart-
     8  ment's webpage shall complete such request within two weeks of receiving
     9  such initial request.
    10    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
