SEPULVEDA -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules AN ACT to amend the surrogate's court procedure act, in relation to the eligibility of a person who is not a lawful permanent resident to be a fiduciary The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 707 of the surrogate's court procedure act is 2 amended by adding a new subdivision 3 to read as follows: 3 3. A person who is not a lawful permanent resident shall not be auto- 4 matically disqualified to be a fiduciary. 5 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
