AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to prohibiting
the blowing of grass clippings or leaves on highways and adjacent
lands
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Subdivision (a) of section 1220 of the vehicle and traffic
2 law is amended to read as follows:
3 (a) No person shall [throw, dump, deposit or place] blow, or cause to
4 be [thrown, dumped, deposited or placed] blown upon any highway, or
5 within the limits of the right of way of such highway, or upon private
6 lands adjacent thereto, any refuse, trash, garbage, rubbish, litter,
7 grass clippings or leaves, or any nauseous or offensive matter.
8 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
