AN ACT to amend the racing, pari-mutuel wagering and breeding law, in
relation to prohibiting gambling on elections
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. The racing, pari-mutuel wagering and breeding law is
2 amended by adding a new section 913 to read as follows:
3 § 913. Gambling on elections prohibited. 1. For purposes of this
4 section, the term "gambling" shall have the same meaning as such term is
5 defined by section 225.00 of the penal law.
6 2. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, gambling upon the
7 results of any political election shall be prohibited.
8 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
