KRUEGER -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Insurance AN ACT to amend the insurance law, in relation to scheduling for certain providers through the directory The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Subparagraph (A) of paragraph 17 of subsection (a) of 2 section 3217-a of the insurance law, as amended by section 2 of subpart 3 B of part AA of chapter 57 of the laws of 2022, is amended to read as 4 follows: 5 (A) whether the provider is accepting new patients and the provider's 6 nearest availability, which may be accomplished through a mechanism by 7 which enrollees or their designees can schedule such appointments 8 directly through the directory; 9 § 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day after it shall 10 have become a law. EXPLANATION--Matter in italics (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [] is old law to be omitted. LBD14818-01-6
