CANZONERI-FITZPATRICK -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Environ- mental Conservation AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to changing the state's metrics for measuring greenhouse gas emissions The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Subdivision 2 of section 75-0101 of the environmental 2 conservation law, as added by chapter 106 of the laws of 2019, is 3 amended to read as follows: 4 2. "Carbon dioxide equivalent" means the amount of carbon dioxide by 5 mass that would produce the same global warming impact as a given mass 6 of another greenhouse gas over an integrated [twenty-year] one hundred- 7 year time frame after emission. 8 § 2.
