MATTERA -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Labor AN ACT directing the department of labor to conduct a study on the effects of artificial intelligence on job losses in the state The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. The department of labor, in conjunction with the office of 2 information technology services, shall conduct a study and prepare a 3 report on the effects of artificial intelligence on job losses in the 4 state. 5 § 2. Within one year of the effective date of this act, the department 6 of labor shall issue a report of the findings of the study to the gover- 7 nor, the temporary president of the senate and the speaker of the assem- 8 bly. 9 § 3.
