        Introduced  by M. of A. PERRY -- read once and referred to the Committee

        AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to establishing an online
          registry of businesses conducting  electronic  commerce  in  New  York
          state

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Paragraph (a) of subdivision 3 of section 94-a of the exec-
     2  utive law is amended by adding a new subparagraph 16 to read as follows:
     3    (16) require all businesses engaged in electronic commerce in New York
     4  state to provide the telephone number by which to contact such  business
     5  for  the  submission  of  consumer  complaints,  and establish an online
     6  registry providing such telephone numbers.
     7    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
