        Introduced  by  M.  of  A.  PAULIN,  JAFFEE,  BUCHWALD  -- read once and
          referred to the Committee on Education
 
        AN ACT to amend the education law,  in  relation  to  transportation  of
          children by school districts

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1.  Subdivision 7 of section 3602  of  the  education  law  is
     2  amended by adding a new paragraph f to read as follows:
     3    f. Notwithstanding any inconsistent provisions of this article, school
     4  district  apportionment shall cover ninety  per centum of the individual
     5  school district's cost of transportation of pupils to nonpublic schools.
     6    § 2. This act shall take effect on the first of July  next  succeeding
     7  the date on which it shall have become a law.
