        AN ACT to amend the banking law, in relation to ATM security
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 

     1    Section 1. Section 75-c of the banking law is amended by adding a  new
     2  subdivision 4 to read as follows:
     3    4.  Software  that  would  allow the user to enter his or her personal
     4  identification number in a specific manner that would immediately notify
     5  local law enforcement personnel that the user  is  making  a  withdrawal
     6  against  his  or  her  own volition, while at the same time allowing the
     7  automated teller machine to disperse money to the customer as  if  there
     8  were no problem.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred eightieth day after
    10  it shall have become a law.
