        Introduced  by  M.  of A. JOYNER, ORTIZ, SIMON, BARRON, DICKENS, D'URSO,
          LUPARDO, COOK -- read once and referred to the Committee  on  Children
          and Families
 
        AN ACT to amend the social services law, in relation to the standards of
          payment for care provided foster children

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Section 398-a of the social  services  law  is  amended  by
     2  adding a new subdivision 6 to read as follows:
     3    (6)  Notwithstanding  any  provisions of this section to the contrary,
     4  beginning the first of January next succeeding  the  effective  date  of
     5  this subdivision, the total reimbursement dictated pursuant to the stan-
     6  dards of payment for care provided to foster children shall be increased
     7  by three percent.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
