        Introduced by M. of A. WEPRIN -- read once and referred to the Committee
          on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions
 
        AN  ACT  directing the metropolitan transportation authority to rename a
          certain subway station
 

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1.  The  Briarwood-Van  Wyck subway station on the IND Queens
     2  Boulevard line of the New York city subway is hereby named the Briarwood
     3  station. The MTA shall ensure that all signs, maps, and any  other  item
     4  issued  by the MTA are updated to accurately reflect the new name of the
     5  station.
     6    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately; provided,  however,  that
     7  the  MTA  shall have up to 180 days to change all signs, maps, and other
     8  items as required in section one of this act.
