        AN ACT to amend the  environmental  conservation  law,  in  relation  to
          recordings of natural gas contracts or leases
 

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. The environmental conservation law is amended by  adding  a
     2  new section 23-0315 to read as follows:
     3  § 23-0315. Recording of natural gas contracts and/or leases.
     4    1.  Within  fifteen  days  of  execution, all natural gas contracts or
     5  leases shall be recorded with the county clerk's office,  or  equivalent
     6  official,  in  the  county  in which the property that is subject to the
     7  contract or lease, is situated.
     8    2. Such recording shall constitute notice to all stakeholders with  an
     9  interest in the property.
    10    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
