        AN ACT to amend the election law, in relation to the date for change  of
          enrollment
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Subdivision 3 of section 5-304  of  the  election  law,  as
     2  amended  by  chapter  316  of  the  laws  of 2019, is amended to read as
     3  follows:
     4    3. A change of enrollment received by the board of elections will take
     5  effect immediately, provided however, any change of enrollment  received
     6  by  the  board  of  elections after February fourteenth and before or on
     7  seven days after the June primary either showing  a  dated  cancellation
     8  mark  of the United States Post Office or contained in an envelope show-
     9  ing such a dated cancellation mark which is later  than  February  four-
    10  teenth  or  not  showing  a dated cancellation mark of the United States
    11  Post Office and if contained in an envelope not  showing  such  a  dated
    12  cancellation  mark on such envelope shall take effect on the seventh day
    13  after the June primary.
    14    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
