        Introduced by M. of A. CAHILL -- read once and referred to the Committee
          on Social Services
 
        AN  ACT  to amend the social services law, in relation to the full take-
          over by the state of New York of county safety net costs
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. Section 153 of the social services law is amended by adding
     2  a new subdivision 18 to read as follows:
     3    18. From an amount specifically appropriated therefor, the commission-
     4  er  of  the  office of temporary and disability assistance shall provide
     5  additional enhanced reimbursement for the administration of  safety  net
     6  assistance  to  every social services district throughout the state. The
     7  reimbursement provided by the commissioner shall be equal to  the  costs
     8  of  safety  net  assistance  incurred  by  each social services district
     9  throughout New York state.
    10    § 2. This act shall take effect on the first of April next  succeeding
    11  the date on which it shall have become a law.
