        Introduced by M. of A. JOYNER -- read once and referred to the Committee
          on Health
 
        AN  ACT to amend the social services law, in relation to including addi-
          tional positions in the definition of employee  for  the  purposes  of
          health care and mental hygiene worker bonuses

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Subparagraph (i) of  paragraph  (a)  of  subdivision  2  of
     2  section  367-w of the social services law, as added by section 1 of part
     3  ZZ of chapter 56 of the laws of 2022, is amended as follows:
     4    (i)  Physician  assistants,  dental  hygienists,  dental   assistants,
     5  psychiatric  aides,  pharmacists,  pharmacy technicians, physical thera-
     6  pists, physical therapy assistants, physical therapy aides, occupational
     7  therapists, occupational therapy assistants, occupational therapy aides,
     8  speech-language pathologists, respiratory therapists, exercise physiolo-
     9  gists,  recreational  therapists,  all  other  therapists,   orthotists,
    10  prosthetists,  clinical  laboratory technologists and technicians, diag-
    11  nostic medical sonographers, nuclear medicine technologists,  radiologic
    12  technologists,  magnetic  resonance  imaging  technologists,  ophthalmic
    13  medical technicians, radiation therapists, dietetic technicians, cardio-
    14  vascular technologists  and  technicians,  certified  first  responders,
    15  emergency  medical  technicians, advanced emergency medical technicians,
    16  paramedics, surgical technologists, all other health  technologists  and
    17  technicians,  orderlies,  home  health  aides, personal care aides, home
    18  attendants, personal assistants performing  consumer  directed  personal
    19  assistance  services  pursuant  to section three hundred sixty-five-f of
    20  this article, or other licensed  or  unlicensed  persons  whose  primary
    21  responsibility  includes the provision of in-home assistance with activ-
    22  ities of daily  living,  instrumental  activities  of  daily  living  or
    23  health-related  tasks,  medical  assistants,  phlebotomists,  all  other
    24  health care support workers, nurse anesthetists, nurse  midwives,  nurse

     1  practitioners, registered nurses, nursing assistants, and licensed prac-
