        AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to requiring the division
          of  housing  and  community renewal to establish a publicly accessible
          online database of building-wide major capital improvements
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1. The executive law is amended by adding a new section 260-a
     2  to read as follows:
     3    § 260-a. Major capital improvement database. The commissioner of hous-
     4  ing and community renewal shall publish on the division of  housing  and
     5  community  renewal  website  a  database  of building-wide major capital
     6  improvements installed by any landlord in every city with  a  population
     7  of  more  than  one  million inhabitants. Such database shall include an
     8  entry that describes the item or repair, including:
     9    1. the cost;
    10    2. make and model;
    11    3. where the item was purchased;
    12    4. the name of company or individual conducting the installation; and
    13    5. the installation cost.
    14    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
