        Introduced  by M. of A. PAULIN, D'URSO, JAFFEE, ORTIZ, SEAWRIGHT, SIMON,
          MAGNARELLI, COLTON, GALEF -- read once and referred to  the  Committee
          on  Election  Law  --  recommitted to the Committee on Election Law in
          accordance with Assembly Rule 3, sec. 2 -- committee discharged,  bill
          amended,  ordered reprinted as amended and recommitted to said commit-
          tee
 
        AN ACT to amend the election law, in relation to the date for change  of
          enrollment
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Subdivision 3 of section 5-304  of  the  election  law,  as
     2  amended  by  chapter  316  of  the  laws  of 2019, is amended to read as
     3  follows:
     4    3. A change of enrollment received by the board of elections showing a
     5  dated cancellation mark of the United States Post Office or contained in
     6  an envelope showing such a dated cancellation mark which  is  not  later
     7  than February fourteenth will take effect immediately, provided however,
     8  any change of enrollment received by the board of elections after Febru-
     9  ary  fourteenth and before or on seven days after the June primary shall
    10  take effect on the seventh day after the June primary.
    11    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
