        AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to transfer credit
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 

     1    Section 1.  The education law is amended by adding a new section  3102
     2  to read as follows:
     3    §  3102.  Transfer credit. Notwithstanding any other provision of law,
     4  the school authorities of each school district and each board of cooper-
     5  ative educational services shall recognize and credit each teacher  with
     6  transfer credit on a uniform and consistent basis.
     7    §  2.  This act shall take effect on the first of July next succeeding
     8  the date on which it shall have become a law.
