        AN  ACT  to  amend the criminal procedure law, in relation to increasing
          the minimum bail for sexual offenses of a school  official  against  a
          student

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. The criminal procedure law  is  amended  by  adding  a  new
     2  section 520.50 to read as follows:
     3  § 520.50 Minimum bail; school official sexual offenses against students.
     4    Where  a court fixes bail for an employee of a school district accused
     5  of an offense defined in article one hundred thirty of  the  penal  law,
     6  and where the alleged victim of such offense is a student, the amount of
     7  bail fixed shall be no less than two hundred thousand dollars.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
