        AN  ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to enacting the "Han Tak
          Lee Act"
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1. Short title. This act shall be known and cited as the "Han
     2  Tak Lee Act".
     3    § 2. Subdivision 4 of section 158 of the executive law is  amended  by
     4  adding a new paragraph (g) to read as follows:
     5    (g)  Certify  all  firefighters  who specialize in assessing arsons to
     6  ascertain they have received proper training to determine whether  fires
     7  are  caused  accidentally or intentionally set. Such certification shall
     8  require such firefighters to be tested  on  "NFPA  921"  standards,  the
     9  national  guidelines  set by the national fire protection association to
    10  cover all aspects of arson-related cases.
    11    § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
