Go to top STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 2084 2019-2020 Regular Sessions IN ASSEMBLY January 22, 2019 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. LENTOL -- read once and referred to the Committee on Banks AN ACT to amend the banking law, in relation to ATM security The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 75-c of the banking law is amended by adding a new 2 subdivision 4 to read as follows: 3 4. Software that would allow the user to enter his or her personal 4 identification number in a specific manner that would immediately notify 5 local law enforcement personnel that the user is making a withdrawal 6 against his or her own volition, while at the same time allowing the 7 automated teller machine to disperse money to the customer as if there 8 were no problem. 9 § 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred eightieth day after 10 it shall have become a law. EXPLANATION--Matter in italics (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [] is old law to be omitted.
