        Introduced  by M. of A. RABBITT -- read once and referred to the Commit-
          tee on Governmental Employees
 
        AN ACT to authorize the Orange county department of personnel  to  waive
          the  maximum  age provision for Alexander Nicholas, a part-time police
          officer for the village of Greenwood Lake police department
 

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1.  Notwithstanding the provisions of section 58 of the civil
     2  service law, the Orange county department of personnel is hereby author-
     3  ized and directed to waive the  maximum  age  provision  of  thirty-five
     4  years as of the date when an applicant takes the written exam for provi-
     5  sional  or  permanent  appointment in the competitive class of the civil
     6  service as a police officer, for Alexander Nicholas, who is currently  a
     7  part-time  police  officer  for  the  village  of  Greenwood Lake police
     8  department.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
