        AN ACT to amend the general municipal  law,  in  relation  to  reporting
          information  to  the  United  States bureau of immigration and customs
          enforcement
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-

        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1.  The  general  municipal  law  is  amended by adding a new
     2  section 99-v to read as follows:
     3    § 99-v. Reports to United States bureau  of  immigration  and  customs
     4  enforcement.    No local law, executive order, or other such law, order,
     5  or ordinance, shall prohibit any  local  government  officer,  employee,
     6  agent,  or  agency,  from identifying or reporting, to the United States
     7  bureau of immigration and customs enforcement any  person,  pursuant  to
     8  federal  law  or  regulation,  who  such  agent,  or  agency, reasonably
     9  suspects to:
    10    1. have committed a crime; and
    11    2. be in violation of federal immigration laws.
    12    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
