        Introduced  by  M.  of  A.  FITZPATRICK -- read once and referred to the
          Committee on Local Governments
 
        AN ACT to amend chapter 397 of the laws of 1996, relating to authorizing
          the town of Islip to lease certain lands to a business corporation, in
          relation to the lease term

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1.  Section 1 of chapter 397 of the laws of 1996, relating to
     2  authorizing the town of Islip to  lease  certain  lands  to  a  business
     3  corporation,  is  amended  by  adding a new subdivision (a-1) to read as
     4  follows:
     5    (a-1) The town of Islip, in the county of Suffolk, is  hereby  author-
     6  ized and empowered to extend the terms of a lease between the town and a
     7  business corporation dated July 30, 1996 that was authorized by this act
     8  on  the  lands  described in this act for up to ten years in addition to
     9  the ten-year extension authorized under subdivision (a) of this section.
    10    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
