Go to top STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 3393 2023-2024 Regular Sessions IN ASSEMBLY February 3, 2023 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. PRETLOW -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Education AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to the establishment of multi-year cost allowances for the Mount Vernon city school district The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Paragraph a of subdivision 6 of section 3602 of the educa- 2 tion law is amended by adding a new subparagraph 10 to read as follows: 3 (10) Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, for 4 the purpose of computation of building aid for up to four new 5 construction projects, authorized pursuant to a March seventh, two thou- 6 sand seventeen Mount Vernon city school district bond proposal approved 7 by the voters of such district, multi-year cost allowances for each 8 project shall be established and utilized two times in the first five- 9 year period. Subsequent multi-year cost allowances shall be established 10 no sooner than ten years after establishment of the first maximum cost 11 allowance authorized pursuant to this subparagraph. 12 § 2.
