AN ACT to amend the county law, in relation to the publication of judi-
cial proceedings
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. The county law is amended by adding a new section 535 to
2 read as follows:
3 § 535. Designation of newspapers by county clerk. Where a county clerk
4 is required by law to designate one or more newspapers for the publica-
5 tion of legal notices, such newspaper or, if there be more than one, one
6 such newspaper shall be the newspaper or journal, if any, designated by
7 law for the publication of every notice and advertisement of judicial
8 proceedings in the county.
9 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
