        Introduced  by M. of A. RABBITT -- read once and referred to the Commit-
          tee on Environmental Conservation
 
        AN ACT to authorize the village of Florida to adopt local laws exempting
          such village from any regulations that restrict the burning of garbage
          in open fires in certain circumstances
 

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1.  The village of Florida is hereby authorized and empowered
     2  to adopt and amend local laws, ordinances or  resolutions  which  exempt
     3  such  village  from  any  code,  rule, regulation or standard that would
     4  restrict the burning of garbage, refuse or rubbish in an open  fire.  In
     5  addition,  the  village  of  Florida  is  hereby  further authorized and
     6  empowered to adopt and amend local laws, ordinances or resolutions which
     7  exempt such village from any code, rule,  regulation  or  standard  that
     8  would restrict the burning of garbage, refuse or rubbish in an open fire
     9  on  land  possessed  by a single family, a member of which is the owner,
    10  occupant, or lessee of said land, or any part of a farm on  which  waste

    11  is generated as a result of the operation of such farm.
    12    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
