        AN ACT to amend the criminal procedure law, in relation to the power  of
          harbor  masters  and  bay constables to arrest on warrants pursuant to
          their special duties

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Subdivision 1 of section 2.20 of the criminal procedure law
     2  is amended by adding a new paragraph (k) to read as follows:
     3    (k)  Harbor  masters  and  bay  constables have the power to arrest on
     4  warrants pursuant to their special duties within their geographical area
     5  of employment.
     6    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
