        AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to  prohibiting  trustees
          and  members  of  a board of education from having a family member who
          works for the same board of education or school district as the  trus-
          tee or member
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Section 2103 of the education law is amended  by  adding  a
     2  new subdivision 5 to read as follows:
     3    5.  No  trustee  or member of a board of education shall have a family
     4  member who works for the same board of education or for the same  school
     5  district as such trustee or member serves.
     6    §  2.  This  act  shall take effect immediately and shall apply to all
     7  members or trustees of a board of education who are elected or appointed
     8  after the date on which this act shall have become a law.
