        AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to metropolitan
          commuter transportation district registration fee exemptions for  farm
          vehicles
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Section 499-a of the vehicle and traffic law, as  added  by
     2  section  1  of  part  B of chapter 25 of the laws of 2009, is amended to
     3  read as follows:
     4    § 499-a. Metropolitan commuter  transportation  district  supplemental
     5  registration  fee.  Registrants  residing  in  the metropolitan commuter
     6  transportation district shall, upon the registration  or  renewal  of  a
     7  motor  vehicle, be charged a supplemental registration fee to be paid to
     8  the commissioner or his or her agent in accordance with  the  provisions
     9  of  this article. A registrant shall not be charged a fee for the regis-
    10  tration or renewal of a farm vehicle registered pursuant to  subdivision
    11  thirteen of section four hundred one of this title.
    12    § 2. Section 499-b of the vehicle and traffic law, as added by section
    13  1  of  part  B  of chapter 25 of the laws of 2009, is amended to read as
    14  follows:
    15    § 499-b. Collection of supplemental  fee.  All  registrants  of  motor
    16  vehicles who reside in the metropolitan commuter transportation district
    17  shall  pay  to  the  commissioner  or  his or her agent the supplemental
    18  registration fee provided for  in  this  article  upon  registration  or
    19  renewal  of  motor vehicles subject to registration fees pursuant to the
    20  following sections of this chapter: paragraph a of  subdivision  six  of
    21  section  four hundred one; schedules A, B, C, E, F, G, I and K of subdi-

     1  vision seven of section four hundred one;  paragraph  a  of  subdivision
     2  eight  of  section  four hundred one; paragraph a of subdivision five of
     3  section four hundred ten; and section four hundred  eleven-b.  A  regis-
     4  trant  shall  not pay to the commissioner or his or her agent a fee upon
     5  registration or renewal of farm vehicles registered pursuant to subdivi-
     6  sion thirteen of section four hundred one of this title.
     7    § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
