        AN  ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to notifying the surviv-
          ing family of homicide victims of the availability of  victim  support
          services programs
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Section 623 of the executive law is amended by adding a new
     2  subdivision 24 to read as follows:
     3    24. To provide the surviving  family  of  a  homicide  victim  written
     4  notice  of  the  availability of victim support services programs in the
     5  state. Such written notice shall include a statewide listing  of  victim
     6  assistance  programs  that  provide crisis intervention, advocacy, coun-
     7  seling, and other victim support services and shall include  a  link  to
     8  the website of the office.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
