          Committee on Consumer Affairs and Protection
 
        AN ACT to amend the general business law,  in  relation  to  prohibiting
          motor  vehicle  dealers  from advertising lease specials for a limited
          number of in stock vehicles which meet the advertised vehicle specifi-
          cations
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. The general business law is amended by adding a new section
     2  349-f to read as follows:
     3    §  349-f.  Any advertisement by a motor vehicle dealer advertising the
     4  amount of a lease shall apply to all motor vehicles in stock at the time
     5  the advertisement was placed which shall meet the specifications of  the
     6  advertised vehicle. Such advertisement may not be restricted to a limit-
     7  ed  number  of such vehicles which meet the specifications of the adver-
     8  tised vehicle.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
