        AN ACT in relation to exempting voluntary ambulance  services  from  the
          payment of tolls
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary,
     2  the payment of tolls on any highway, bridge, tunnel or other  toll  road
     3  within this state shall not apply to a voluntary ambulance service oper-
     4  ating pursuant to a valid operating certificate as described in subdivi-
     5  sion  1  of  section 3005 of the public health law while such vehicle is
     6  responding to an emergency or furnishing voluntary ambulance services.
     7    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
